Stephen J. Dent

Mr. Dent has 22 years of experience in private equity and investment banking. He was with Birch Hill's predecessor company, TD Capital from 1989 to 1992 and from 1994 to 2005. In 1992 and 1993, Mr. Dent was a founding partner of Merchant Private Trust, a Toronto Stock Exchange listed investment management company. He rejoined TD as a Vice President and Director in TD Securities' Corporate Finance and M&A Group in 1993 and rejoined TD Capital in 1994. Prior to returning to graduate school, Mr. Dent spent two years in TD's Corporate Lending unit.

Mr. Dent received his M.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, and his B.B.A. (Honours) from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Paul R. Henry

Mr. Henry has over 20 years of experience in restructuring and special situations, with the last 12 years in private equity. He was with Birch Hill's predecessor company, TD Capital, from 1998 to 2005 acting in various roles with the last position being head of its Global Risk Management Group. Prior to joining TD Capital, Mr. Henry held a number of senior management positions in industry. Prior to that, Mr. Henry was a Principal with PricewaterhouseCoopers in its restructuring practice.

Mr. Henry is a Chartered Accountant and received his B.Comm. from Mount Allison University in New Brunswick.

John T. Loh

Mr. Loh has 18 years of experience in private equity and investment banking. He was with TD Capital, Birch Hill's predecessor company, from 1999 to 2005. Prior to joining TD Capital, Mr. Loh was a Director in TD's Asian Media and Telecom group based in Singapore. He also spent four years with TD Securities in Toronto where he worked in the Corporate Finance and M&A and the Structured Finance Groups, focusing mainly on transactions in the communications sector.

Mr. Loh received his H.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario.

John B. MacIntyre

Mr. MacIntyre has over 31 years of experience in private equity and investment banking. From 1995 to 2000, he was head of TD's Global Private Equity business and President of TD Capital. From 2002 to 2004, Mr. MacIntyre served as a Senior Advisor to TD Capital and was an active member of the advisory committee of TD CPEP, Birch Hill's predecessor company. He was also on the advisory committee of other alternative investment funds within TD Capital, including TD Capital Private Equity Investors, TD Capital Technology Ventures and TD Capital Mezzanine Partners. From 1987 to 1994 and from 2000 to 2002, Mr. MacIntyre was with TD Securities, most recently as Vice Chair and Global Head, Investment Banking. Prior to joining TD Securities in 1987, Mr. MacIntyre practised with Ernst & Young LLP.

Mr. MacIntyre is a Chartered Accountant, a Chartered Business Valuator and holds a B. Comm. (Honours) from Queen's University.

Michael R. Mazan

Mr. Mazan has 17 years of experience in private equity, investment banking and consulting. He was with TD Capital, Birch Hill's predecessor company, from 1999 to 2005. Previously, he was an Associate with Credit Suisse First Boston where he worked on a variety of corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions assignments. Prior to joining CSFB, Mr. Mazan was the Director of Finance and Business Development for Rogers@Home, the Internet-over-cable venture of Canada's largest cable television company. Mr. Mazan also spent three years with McKinsey & Company.

Mr. Mazan received his M.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, where he graduated as the gold medalist, and his B.Comm. from Carleton University in Ottawa where he also graduated as the gold medalist.

Michael J. Salamon

Mr. Salamon has 18 years of experience in the private equity industry. He was with TD Capital, Birch Hill's predecessor company, from 2000 to 2005. Prior to joining TD Capital, Mr. Salamon spent seven years as a Vice President at Harrowston Inc., a Toronto-based private equity investment firm. He also spent three years at Nortel Networks as a telecommunications software engineer and in the finance department.

Mr. Salamon received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and his Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto. Mr. Salamon is a CFA charterholder.

David G. Samuel

Mr. Samuel has 18 years of experience in private equity, operations, consulting and investment banking. Mr. Samuel's experience includes serving as President, Rogers High Speed Internet Access and working with McKinsey & Company and Morgan Stanley.

Mr. Samuel received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and his H.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario.

Pierre J. Schuurmans

Mr. Schuurmans has over 17 years of experience in senior operating and financial roles. Prior to joining Birch Hill in 2005, Mr. Schuurmans held Chief Financial Officer positions with Peel Lumber Inc., a distributor of building products, and Borderfree Inc., a software and services provider of cross-border logistics. Previously, Mr. Schuurmans was the VP Finance at Solarex, a leading U.S. manufacturer of photovoltaic panels and was a consultant at McKinsey & Company.

Mr. Schuurmans received his M.B.A. from Stanford University and his H.B.A. (with distinction) from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario.
